Filipino Catholics manifest their religiosity in many ways and situations and attending and hearing Misa de Gallo masses is just one of them.

To many Filipinos, attending these masses further strengthens their faith in the Almighty. Every year, the Misa de Gallo draws millions of church - goers all over the country who brave sleepiness and the dawn breeze just to be able to attend these dawn masses.

Sacrifice. Attending the Misa de Gallo is not just a manifestation of one's faith; it's also a form of religious sacrifice.

Fighting sleepiness and the discomfort and inconvenience that come with like waking up early at 3 or 4 am, not feeling well, commuting, and walking to the church are no easy tasks.
